SmackDown Web 2.0 Application

As students studying in school and going through these educational systems, we have advanced in our technologies and evolved in the way that we store, organize, and share data. As we continue to advance through our education and go into our professions, it will also be necessary for us to have a multitude of techniques to be able to store, organize, and share data amongst those involved in our career paths. All things in today's day and age seem to have found themselves digitally, and this is unavoidable as we are part of an evolving world filled with technology that has created a much easier flow to many of the processes necessary along these paths in our education, professions, and everyday lives.

The application that I chose for my second SmackDown presentation was Dropbox. Dropbox is an application that many of us have heard of, but until you really dive into it, you realize that there's a little bit more to offer than what you might've known. At least, this was the case for me particularly. Originally, I thought Dropbox was just a place to store files and potentially share them with others. Then I received my first bill from Apple storage, and I was surprised by this charge and asked myself. How could I avoid that? An application like Dropbox is an easy way to open up a whole new realm of storage for the files that you have on your phone or computer that you don't necessarily want to delete, but you wanna remove them immediately to create more space for new ones. This is one of the most unique ways that I learned to use Dropbox. Other than that, Dropbox has been an amazing tool to upload files and be able to share files with individuals.  It also has a wonderful organization aspect to the application, allowing you to name and create new folders the same way that many of us are already familiar with on our phones or computers.

This application is extremely useful in our education as students. Whether you're working on a partner project or simply sharing documents with a fellow student in one of your study groups. Maybe the two of you are in a lecture, and one of you is taking notes in a particular direction, and the other is taking notes in another direction, and you want to collaborate with the notes that you have taken well, you can easily share them digitally between the two of you utilizing dropbox. These are just small examples of how it could be used in our education system, but allow your mind to expand in many different directions and apply these techniques. In our Professions, it is also another great way to be able to collaborate with others, whether they are in your workplace or a part of a networking group about your profession. Particularly, I am going into the field of chiropractic. In any healthcare field, interprofessional collaboration is a huge deal and something that can help you evolve your practices in healthcare to a whole new dynamic and level of excellence. This is the collaboration of individuals within the same profession, sharing ideas and business models with one another to help for growth. Dropbox will be an amazing tool to use whether I send documents to the employees working for my organization or collaborate with other doctor's professional networks that I plan to be a part of.
