Chapter 4 was all about building a collaborative culture. To build a collaborative culture, it is necessary to form relationships in which trust, collegiality, shared vision, and group development thrive. Collaboration is interactions, getting to know each other, and finding common perspectives and experiences. It is important to nurture and maintain positive relationships by building trust, which is necessary to solve problems and achieve goals. Trust is a staple and involves communication, time, and contact with others. The secret to creating deep and trusting relationships is providing opportunities to share. There is also a major correlation between transparency and trust, especially when talking about collaboration and the use of online connected learning tools, in theory, this is an online relationship with others. Collegiality is the shared belief that none of us is as good or smart as all of us, and then we can all contribute to improving individual practice. The reality of collaborative relationships is very unique and valuable. Group development and building a collaborative culture are even more important when considered on a globalized level, as our world is always increasing, and global collaboration is essential to flourish.
As you know, I'm studying to be your future chiropractor. Within healthcare, collaboration is important and essential. Chiropractors must build a strong collaborative culture between themselves. They must form relationships and partnerships. All healthcare workers need to do this to get the most out of their practices. Collaborative efforts are essential for the advancement of the profession, patient care, research, and professional development. A strong exchange of knowledge is a result of collaborative practices within the healthcare profession. This is an example of collegiality, as no one individual is better than another, and in reality, some doctors may know something that you may not. It's beneficial to share this information through the proper collaborative relationship and trust between professionals. In marketing, teamwork and sharing insights across departments can lead to better strategies and outcomes. Just like in healthcare, a collaborative approach in marketing allows for diverse perspectives and expertise to come together, driving more effective campaigns or developing ways to reach as many different groups of people as possible.
Forming relationships that are trustworthy is extremely important because without this trust it can be hard to properly expand your network. If individuals do not trust one another, they will not be willing to learn or even hear out what others in their field have to say. Like said in your writing, being both trustworthy and transparent has the ability to help you form many more connections in comparison to someone who may lack one characteristic or the other.
